Der Carrera 2 ist das Spitzenmodell der 356er-Baureihe und der erste Serien-Porsche mit Scheibenbremsen.
Mit einem Neupreis von 23.700 DM war er doppelt so teuer wie die Basisversion des 356B!
Angetrieben wird er durch den weltberühmten Fuhrmann-Motor, ein luftgekühlter Vierzylinder-Boxer mit vier obenliegenden Nockenwellen die über vier Königswellen angetrieben werden!
Der Motor kam auch u.a. im legendären 550 Spyder, im 718 RSK sowie im Porsche 904 zum Einsatz.
Unser Wagen wurde am 18.04.1962 nach Freiburg erstausgeliefert und ist einer von nur 27, die ab Werk mit dem el. Schiebedach produziert wurden.
Gesamt wurden nur 310 Porsche 356 B 2000 GS produziert!
Vor ca. 10 Jahren erhielt er eine vollumfängliche Restaurierung von namenhaften Betrieben in Deutschland.
Seit 2014 befindet er sich in einer äußerst hochkarätigen, deutschen Sammlung.

The Carrera 2 is the top model of the 356 series and the first production Porsche with disc brakes.
With a new price of 23,700 DM it was twice as expensive as the basic version of the 356B!
It was powered by the world-famous Fuhrmann engine, an air-cooled four-cylinder boxer with four overhead camshafts driven by four king shafts!
The engine was also used in the legendary 550 Spyder, the 718 RSK and the Porsche 904.
Our car was first delivered to Freiburg on 18.04.1962 and is one of only 27 that were produced ex works with the sunroof.
In total only 310 Porsche 356 B 2000 GS were produced!
Approximately 10 years ago, it received a full restoration by renowned companies in Germany.
Since 2014, it has been part of an extremely high-calibre German collection.
